Invenergy donates $13,000 to Badger Honor Flight

Invenergy took the field at the Madison Mallards and Night Mares games to present a donation to Badger Honor Flight at the culmination of the season-long Invenergy Power Inning promotion. Throughout the summer, Invenergy pledged between $100 and $500 for every run scored during the Invenergy Power Inning. The Mallards and Night Mares combined for 46 runs during the Invenergy Power Inning, raising $13,000 to support Badger Honor Flight.

Badger Honor Flight is a regional affiliate of the national Honor Flight Network serving 11 counties in southern Wisconsin and providing free transportation, meals, and other amenities to ensure that Wisconsin veterans have the opportunity to see the memorials that have been erected in their honor.    

“We are big fans of the Mallards and Night Mares and grateful to work together to support the Badger Honor Flight this summer and play a part in giving Wisconsin’s veterans the recognition and gratitude they deserve,” said Jennifer Short, Community Affairs Manager, Invenergy.  “Invenergy works with communities across Wisconsin to create the homegrown energy that powers our lives – but this proves that there’s nothing like the power of working together to make a difference.”
